Cooperation with the Shipowner Polska Żegluga Bałtycka - Polferries on the modernization of the Mazovia ferry has moved to the next stage.

Project supervision is ongoing at Remontowa Shipyard related to the implementation of  BWTS systems.

Due to the dimensions of the ROPAX vessel and the specificity of ballast connections, the challenge of design process was to separate the highly complex BWTS into two individual systems: bow and stern.

Technical and substantive support of the Shipowner by experienced Nelton engineers in the reconstruction process at the shipyard consists in verifying the actual situation of the vessel for the designed system.

The wide scope of modernization of the unit covering several areas, detailed arrangements with contractors, parallel cooperation with component suppliers and implementation of the guidelines of the Classification Society often necessitate the decision by engineers on site, under time pressure.

PRS supervises the classification process of the vessel reconstruction, meeting the requirements of the Classifier is used to correctly implement the ballast water treatment system in accordance with the current International Maritime Organization (IMO) regulations.

The next stage will be the commissioning of the system and outdoor tests in real conditions.
